As you may have read in earlier posts, including this one about dog food, Andy is vegan too. DocDufresne and I always add new fruits and veggies to his diet, usually just by giving him bits of whatever we're preparing for ourselves. Today we found out that he loooooves cantaloupe and red cabbage. At some point I will compile a grouping of photos of Andy eating different types of fruits and vegetables. For now, I provide you with these two, taken by DocDufresne.
Also for your viewing pleasure, the original Captain Vegetable:
Aw, thanks for saying so! I'm pretty new to PPK and blogging.
Congrats on having vegan cats! Due to the fact that DocDufresne is allergic and that Andy would like to eat them (he's really a self-proclaimed freegan, after all) we probably will not ever have cats, but I'd love to hear more about what foods work for them!
I have a mini bunny and she is naturally vegan, what I think it's really cool! I raiser her free, so she goes to the bethroom like a cat, but walks on the street as a dog, with her dog-collar. I would love to have a dog..they are always so warmers..my bunny is more independent..but she is the perfect company in my smaller apartment. I loved your blog. It's already in my favs.
Oh, how funny! I have been singing Captain Vegetable to myself for a few weeks now! I also have a vegan dog, she even has her own blog- http://strummercalling.blogspot.com
Hiya! I just found your blog through the ppk :) It's great!
ReplyDeleteYour dog, Andy, is gorgeous and my cats are vegan and love fruits and vegetables too. One of them LOVES mango and rockmelon (cantaloupe).

ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your comment, Carlota! Your bunny is so cute! By the way, a character in one of my favorite novels, "Sab", is named Carlota.
