My goodness! I've been a total blogging slacker. I usually don't do posts without photos because I find them boring, but I felt I just needed to get something out there.
I have been in love with fresh curry leaves since coming back from Ft. Lauderdale in November. My friend gave me a few branches (technically they're leaves, and the little "leaves" are leafletts) from her parents' curry tree. My favorite thing to do with them is make rice dishes. Lately I've been making "skillet meals," which make for easy preparation and easy clean up. I made a version of dirty rice that was sooo tasty, it's become a staple.
This week, after a trip to a local Asian mega market, I attempted to recreate a dish I had about a year ago at a vegetarian Indian restaurant outside of Philadelphia. While the outcome wasn't quite as I remember it, it was deeeelicious. I based the dish off of this recipe, but increased the amounts for many of the ingredients. I'm going to keep playing with it and will post photos and a recipe soon!
Until then, nom nom nom, I'm going to keep enjoying these tasty curry leaves.
